Despite the President showing his Certificate of Live Birth and Long Form Birth Certificate proving that he was born in Hawaii. Now, I love being home in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born. Ann was born in Henry Ford Hospital, I was born in Harper Hospital. No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.That just gets a "WTF"????
I mean this is just so damn typical of Republicans. The whole unspoken - "I am not saying the President is not American, but, I am just telling people where I was born - you know in case they wondered".
So... Mitt, they "know" where you were born as opposed to say.... that "other guy", you know the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, President Obama.
Of course this wouldn't be a true Mitt Romney moment without a typical Mitt "Flip Flop". Here is senior Romney spokesperson Eric Fehnstrom from a May Article in the Atlantic:

Now the President's team had this to say:
"Throughout this campaign, Gov. Romney has embraced the most strident voices in his party instead of standing up to them," said Ben LaBolt, Obama's spokesman, in a release. "It's one thing to give the stage in Tampa to Donald Trump, Sheriff Arpaio, and Kris Kobach. But Gov. Romney's decision to directly enlist himself in the birther movement should give pause to any rational voter across America."It's ridiculous. This is the guy that a major political party puts up for President and even worse has people that will actually vote for him. It is like someone said... "let's just he ridiculous we can be and see who will vote that way".

Never mind that Obama has released his birth certificate multiple times. And never mind that Hawaii is part of the United States regardless of what the racist mouthbreathers think. What difference would it make if Obama really was born outside the US? You know, like John McCain, who was born in Panama and still eligible to run for president because he was an American citizen at the time of his birth. Or like George Romney, who was born in Mexico and yet still eligible to run for president because he was an American citizen at the time of his birth.
ReplyDeleteObama's mother was an American citizen, which made Obama a natural born citizen of the United States. Which means that the birthers are not only ignoring reality, but even if the world were as they pretend it is, their insistence that Obama somehow still isn't eligible to run for president is both racist and sexist -- as are all the people who defend them, Romney included.
